Hi! Thank you for visiting our site today! We are John and Jennifer Demar of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Both computer programmers by trade, Jennifer transferred the bulk of her efforts to marketing scrapbook materials in 2000 when she and her husband decided to pursue an international adoption. Having never tried scrapbooking before, it seemed like a difficult task, but knowing that she wanted to create a memory album for her future children, she dove right in! Scrap and Tell was "born".
Scrap and Tell (scrapandtell.com) is a website that focuses strictly on products, information and examples to aid in the creation of adoption scrapbooks and lifebooks. A "lifebook" is a written story of a child’s pre-adoptive life, beginning with birth and typically ending with placement in an adoptive family. It covers topics such as birthparents, reason for adoption, time spent in an orphanage or foster care, and joining the new family. It is meant to address questions an adoptee has, or might have in the future, about his or her adoption journey.
When digital scrapbooking became more and more popular, Jennifer and a team of other digital designers began creating digital kits to appeal to those that prefer to generate and store photo memories electronically rather than on paper. When the number of adoption-related or cultural heritage digital scrapbook kits reached about 40 in number, the idea to create an off-shoot business took hold! Hence, digital-scrapbook-kits.com!
While adoption and multiculturalism will ALWAYS be themes near and dear to the Demar family and digital-scrapbook-kits.com, there are so many more themes and ideas that pop into our heads as we dream of more digital pages! If you haven’t already, please take a moment to browse our entire collection!
John Demar busily provided the website and technical knowledge to get digital-scrapbook-kits.com off the ground and together he and Jennifer do as much as they can to aid and support digital scrappers in their quest to create beautiful and memorable digital pages. Feel free to read the articles on digital scrapbooking that John has written or browse the tips Jennifer has shared!
When John and Jennifer are not busy with their two e-stores, they enjoy spending time with their three children, Maria and Scott, from Guatemala, and Sarah, the homegrown and youngest of the bunch. (not pictured) As a family, they enjoy travel, sports, movies, board and card games, and tickling!
